University of Nicosia Celebrates 11 Academics Named Among World’s Top-Cited Scientists
The University’s research output underscores the institution’s commitment to impactful research and scholarly excellence
The University of Nicosia proudly announces that eleven of its academics have been recognised among the most cited scientists globally, according to the annual Stanford University list of top-cited scientists.
The annual list, entitled “Data for updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators”, is made publicly available and provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator (c-score).
With classifications spanning 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields, the list serves as a benchmark for scholarly achievement and research impact. Career-long data are updated to end-of-2022 and single recent year data pertain to citations received during calendar year 2022.
The University of Nicosia scientists who are on the list of top-cited scientists worldwide, based on the above criteria and their research output for 2022, are the following (in alphabetical order):

The University of Nicosia warmly congratulates its eleven listed scientists for this distinction, which is indicative of the outstanding research carried out at the University, also reflected in the University’s ranking among the Top 501-600 universities in the world, according to the 2024 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
