University of Nicosia Hosted the Leader of the European University Alliance NEOLAiA Work Package 5 “Increasing the Impact of Regional Research”

Faculty from the School of Behavioural, Social and Legal Sciences at Örebro University, Dr Magnus Kristoffersson, Associate Professor, and Dr Karin Blad, Senior Lecturer, visited the University of Nicosia between 10 and 13 June 2024. Dr Kristoffersson is the Work Package Leader for WP5 ‘Increasing the Impact of Regional Research’ of the NEOLAiA European University Alliance, which is funded by the European Commission for 4 years (2024-2028).

Dr Kristoffersson and Dr Blad met with Rector Philippos Pouyioutas, Senior Vice Rector Constantinos Phellas and Vice President for Global Partnerships Dimitris Drikakis. Additionally, they had a very productive round-table discussion with the Deans/Associate Deans of the University Schools. The discussions focused on the Schools’ research priorities and projects and potential future research and teaching collaborations between Örebro University and University of Nicosia.

Meetings also took place with faculty members from the School of Law to further the establishment of the NEOLAiA Law Network, as well as with faculty members from the School of Business and School of Social Sciences and Humanities, and staff from the Research and Innovation Office.
