UNIC to Participate in Researchers’ Night 2019
The European Researchers’ Night is held at the same time in around 300 cities across Europe on the last Friday of September
The Researchers’ Night event is organised by the Research Promotion Foundation (RPF) in collaboration with academic and research institutions as well as other organisations in Cyprus. The event is an initiative of the European Commission and is dedicated to bringing researchers closer to the public.
Those joining at Filoxenia Conference Centre on the 27th of September 2019, from 17:00 to midnight, for the Researchers’ Night 2019, will have the opportunity to enjoy a creative night-time event dedicated to science and research, through experiments, games, competitions and music. Audiences of different ages will have the opportunity to meet up with Cypriot researchers and see their work, in a festive, friendly atmosphere.
Researchers will present their work and inform the public about the role and importance of research in the modern world as well as the practical applications of their research results in everyday life. At the same time, participants will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experiments and become researchers for one night!
