ARC Workshop; Becoming an Architect/ Designer for the day

In a vibrant workshop at the Architecture department, local high school students were asked to consider the city of the future. Students worked in groups to produce creative collage images depicting their ideas about future cities. Exploring ideas about social and environmental problems, students highlighted current crises, but also proposed inventive ideas about possible future scenarios based on environmental issues, technology and fictional worlds. The images provoked a stimulating discussion about the future city.
Students were given a presentation about the main areas of study of the architecture and interior design programmes and they were also taken around the premises visiting the workshops, lecture rooms and Fabrication laboratory.
