One (1) position in:
MARKETING
Topic: “Digital Technologies in Marketing”
Digital technologies (including Information & Analysis Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Social Media, Customer Relationship Management Systems, Digital Marketing Communications Channels, Big Data etc.) are reshaping the landscape of business planning and implementation, particularly marketing. And while these digital tools are relatively clear in their capacity to execute specific functions within the business operations (market analysis, customer profiling and relationship management, communications, mass customization etc.), how they can be combined and used in the overall strategic and/or marketing design of an organization is still unclear. Empirical research is thus requisite in describing and prescribing how digital technologies may be used, not simply as tools within organizational strategic and/or marketing planning, but as integral parts of it, or even as its very foundations.
We therefore call for PhD research proposals that deal with this question in an array of industry and typological contexts, including, but not limited to Strategic Marketing, International Marketing, Consumer Behaviour, Internal Marketing and Customer Relationship Management; and applied in any of varied industry contexts as construction industry and/or real estate, food and agriculture, services, manufacturing, SMEs, governmental and non-governmental organizations.
Interested candidates for the position of “Digital Technologies in Marketing” need to pursue this Ph.D. on a fulltime basis, be based in Cyprus, and they must have a strong inclination towards research and scientific publications, adjacent to, but beyond their strict PhD scope as well.

One (1) position in:
TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY
Topic: “Technology Diffusion in Tourism and Hospitality”
The ongoing digitization of service interactive work calls for an investigation of how technologies effect and affect organizational form. Organization can no longer be thought without socio-technical mediation. Emerging technologies like robots, social media, analytics, artificial intelligence, platforms and disruptive innovations such as blockchain, could easily be explored as part of a ‘digital shift’, reconfiguring the ways in which management and control, innovation and entrepreneurship take place. The appointed PhD student will have the opportunity to advance our understanding on technology diffusion and its impact on different stakeholder groups.
