Konstantinos Dimarellis was born in 1984 in Thessaloniki. He has PhD degree in Labour Law of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his schooling in the 4th Lyceum of Kalamaria. He graduated from the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master of Law at the Department of Business and Labour Law of the Democritus University of Thrace and has also studied at Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, The Netherlands. He teaches as an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia Labour Law, Social Security Law, Company Law and Synthesis of Commercial Law. He works as a Lawyer since 2008, member of Thessaloniki Bar Association. He is the author of the book “Fundamental principles of disciplinary law.” His research interests focus on Labour Law issues (indicatively “The position of working women in the Greek and Cypriot legal system”, “Legality of cutting allowances in relation to the salary dues and nature of the work”, “The criminal liability of the employer for non-payment and non-performance contributions”, “The compatibility of the provision for employee remuneration levels of the public sector with the principle of collective autonomy”, “Sexual harassment at work”, “Employer’s criminal liability due to inconsistency in paying social security contributions during a financial crisis period”, “The employees’ unions as warrantors of labor rights”, “Digital work of employees after working hours”). He has participated as a speaker at conferences and workshops, he has published articles in newspapers and has given TV and radio interviews. He speaks English and German.
