Mr Andreas Apostolidis
Dr Andreas Apostolidis holds a BSc degree in Sports Science and Physical Education (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece), an MSc degree in Sports Biomechanics (Loughborough University, UK) and a PhD degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education (University of Nicosia, Cyprus). He is currently a lecturer at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. Dr Apostolidis has published scientific reports in journals and conferences. He is teaching at undergraduate level courses as Swimming teaching, Motor Control & Learning and Kinesiology. Dr Apostolidis is also a swimming coach at Famagusta Nautical Club and Keravnos Triathlon.
His main research interests include:
- Fitness testing, training adaptations and biological responses in elite athletes.
- Biomechanical assessment of human movement.
- Training planning and physical performance in modern swimming and triathlon.
