Dr George Chailos
I hold a diploma (M.Sc. equivalent) in Electrical Engineering/Concertation in Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA-1995) with specialization in Pure Mathematics (Measure Theory). From 1995-1996 I attended a series of courses and seminars in Pure Mathematics at the Mathematics Department of NTUA. From 1996 until 2002 I was a graduate student (full scholarship) in the Department of Mathematics, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. I hold an M.Sc. (1998) and a PhD (2002) degree in Pure Mathematics with specialization on “Operator Theory and Functional Analysis”. My main research area is in Functional Analysis -Operator Theory. I currently work on Hardy Classes represented by Cauchy type Integrals and their duals. I am also interested in Foundations of Mathematics and specifically on the application of Set theory in Mathematical Logic. I have published several research articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals and I have taken part in international scientific conferences and workshops. Currently, I am an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus.
