Design & Multimedia Department Educational Trip in Bucharest, Romania
In an effort to continually educate, inspire and enhance students’ experience, the students and faculty of the Department of Design & Multimedia of the University of Nicosia have visited Bucharest from 28 January until 2 February. The annual trip abroad gives the opportunity to students from the Applied Multimedia, Fine Art, and Graphic Communication programmes to visit contemporary art galleries, design studios, art sites, famous monuments and museums.
In particular, students visited the National Museum of Contemporary Art of Romania located in the Parliament house, the Mare Museum of Recent Art, where they participated in a guided tour with the curator of the museum, the Kitsch Museum, the Museum of Senses and more. Students also participated in an educational visit to the National University of Theatre and Film, the Department’s most recent ERASMUS collaboration, where they had the opportunity to see their state of the art animation research facility in a guided tour by the head of the animation department.
The trip was a great opportunity for the students of the Applied Multimedia, Fine Art, and Graphic Communication programmes to experience, explore and get inspired by the art scene and culture of Bucharest.
