Who we are

The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is the largest university in Cyprus. It was established in 1980 and its main campus is located in Nicosia, the capital city of Cyprus. The University comprises the Schools of Business, Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, Sciences and Engineering and Medical School. It offers more than 100 conventional face-to-face (on campus) and distance learning online programmes at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral degree level, hosting more than 12,500 students from over 100 countries. It is ranked by Times Higher Education (THE, 2024) among the top 501-600 universities in the world, and among the top #201-250 for Business and Economics, #201-250 for Education, #301-400 for Psychology, #501–600 for Social Sciences and #601-800 for Clinical and Health.
