Maria Nicolaou
Maria has a background in physics and science education. She holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from University of Crete and a master’s degree in the Teaching of Science and Mathematics from University of Nicosia. With her academic training and expertise, Maria is deeply passionate about exploring the concept of physics identity, particularly within informal learning environments. Her research interests lie at the intersection of physics education, identity formation, and informal learning. She is committed to investigating how factors such as gender, and social interactions influence students’ development of physics identity in informal educational contexts.

Isabel Maria Cruz Lorite
Isabel holds two Bachelor’s Degrees in Environmental Sciences and Marine Sciences, from the University of Cádiz (Spain), a Master’s Degree in Environmental Education and a PhD in Science Education, both from the University of Málaga (Spain). Her research interests focus on science education using socio-scientific issues/socially acute questions related to environmental problems as a context. She is currently employed as a researcher at the Department of Education of the University of Nicosia (Cyprus) under the EU funded open schooling project “ICSE Science Factory”.
