Dr Elena Mourelatou

Dr Elena Mourelatou received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Athens in 2006. She earned her Master of Science degree in Industrial Pharmaceutics (2008) and her PhD (2016) in Pharmaceutical Nanotechnology from the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, University of Athens. Her research interests include the development and physicochemical characterization of nanocarriers for targeted drug delivery and gene therapy. Before joining the academia, she worked as Head of Quality Assurance in the industry in the field of active pharmaceutical ingredients repackaging. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia, where she teaches Pharmaceutical Technology. Dr Mourelatou has authored/co-authored a series of research papers published in professional journals and conferences.
