Dr Fotios Nikolaou is an Assistant Professor of Civil Law at the University of Nicosia – Department of Law in Cyprus. He joined the faculty in February 2015 and he teaches General Principles of Civil Law, Contract Law, Property Law and Consumer Law. He graduated from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Law. He received his LL.M. degree from Freie Universität Berlin – Department of Law and obtained his PhD in Civil Law from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens School of Law (PhD thesis “Acquisition of ownership of a movable by a good faith transferee” was published by Nomiki Vivliothiki law publications in 2014). He has been a lawyer, member of the Athens Bar Association, since 2007. Throughout 2014 he was a member of the editing team of the Greek law journal “Chronicles of Private Law” by P. N. Sakkoulas – Law & Economy publications. His current research interests focus on all fields of Civil Law.
