The second volume of Zealos: Studies in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts & Design (2024) can now be found online. 

“This volume comes at the end of a year marked by significant upheavals and dramatic changes on a global scale. We find ourselves in a world facing complex socio-political and economic challenges, with major war fronts open in Europe and the Middle East, and with the fear of even greater suffering. At the same time, the rapid and significant advances in new technologies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, leave a bittersweet taste of what is both exciting and “dark” in the daily lives of people around the world. For the School’s interdisciplinary academic community, such challenges present both opportunities for reflection and calls to action.”

Zealos is an annual peer-reviewed and open-access journal published by the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Nicosia.

Each volume is published electronically as a PDF file. All papers are available on the Internet to all users immediately upon publication and free of charge, according to the Creative Commons CC BY-NC-ND 4.0. Under this license, authors agree that others can copy and distribute the article for free as long as appropriate credit is given and the article is not modified and not used for commercial purposes.
