The University of Nicosia (UNIC) will participate at Days of International Education Poland in Warsaw (Radisson Blu Hotel Sobieski Hotel Plac Zawiszy 1, 02-025), on Saturday 30 October 2021 between 08:00 – 13:00. UNIC is the largest university in Cyprus, and the largest university in Southern Europe that teaches primarily in English, welcoming more than 14,000 students from over 100 countries across the globe.

Ranked by Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022
The University of Nicosia has been named among the top 601-800 universities in the world, according to the latest edition of the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. The THE World University Rankings (WUR) are possibly the best-known university rankings in the world. The WUR 2022 edition includes over 1,600 ranked research-intensive universities, out of 25,000 universities globally, that met the THE eligibility criteria and applied for assessment.
One of the core areas in which the University excelled in this year’s expanded 2022 WUR edition is International Outlook, where UNIC ranked 47th worldwide.
Ranked by Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2021
The latest results of the annual Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2022 rank the University of Nicosia among the top 201-250 universities in the world in the subject area of Business and Economics. This ranking places UNIC as the #1 ranked university in Cyprus and Greece, and among the Top 100 universities in the European Union, in this subject area.
THE World University Rankings by Subject also rank the University of Nicosia among the Top 201-250 universities in the world for Education for 2022. Correspondingly, the results place UNIC as #40 in the European Union, and #2 in Cyprus and Greece, in this subject area.
Ranked by Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2021
University of Nicosia Ranks in Top 251-300 among “Young” Universities Globally, according to the 2021 Times Higher Education Young University Rankings. Correspondingly, UNIC ranks among the Top 110 Young Universities in Europe.
Ranked by Times Higher Education Emerging Economies Rankings 2021
The 2021 results of the Times Higher Education Emerging Economies Rankings rank the University of Nicosia among the Top 201-250 universities in the countries or regions classified by the London Stock Exchange’s FTSE Group as “advanced emerging”, “secondary emerging”, or “frontier”.
Recognised by QS World University Rankings – EECA Region
The 2021 “QS World University Rankings: EECA”, once again rank the University of Nicosia as one of the top 4% of universities in the region (#126), in which over 3,300 universities operate across 24 countries. More specifically, University was ranked for a third consecutive year in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) Region, out of the 600 universities that were assessed (and, ultimately, 400 ranked) this year by the global rankings agency.
Awarded 5 QS Stars for Overall Excellence
The QS Intelligence Unit recognised the University’s exemplary overall standing, making it the first university in Cyprus and Greece to achieve a 5-Star Institutional Rating. The University has joined an exclusive group of universities to achieve a 5-Star (QS Stars) institutional rating, along with 50 other universities globally. In addition to its exemplary overall standing, UNIC received the highest possible (5-Star) rating in the following key categories: Teaching, Employability, Online Learning, Internationalisation, Inclusiveness, and Facilities.
Impact Rankings 2021
The 2021 Times Higher Education University Impact Rankings ranked the University of Nicosia as the number 32 university in the world in the core area of Quality Education, and among the top 401-600 universities globally in terms of its overall social and economic impact.
