The University of Nicosia Medical School invites you to the Inaugural Lecture entitled “Secondary Prevention of Conorary Artery Disease in Cyprus” to be delivered by Joseph Moutiris, Professor of Cardiology.

The risk of a new cardiac acute event and death, in patients with established coronary artery disease, is high. The administration of cardioprotective medications and the vigorous correction of known risk factors and improvement in lifestyle, are essential measures in reducing the risk. This is known as secondary prevention. The present talk focuses on the secondary prevention measures, in Cyprus, among patients with coronary artery disease, over a period of 15 years (2002-2017).

Professor of Postgraduate Medicine and Cardiology Lead Evagoras Nicolaides will preside.
