Despite the failure of the negotiations for the solution of the Cyprus problem in 2017, the international community remains committed to the process under the auspices of the UN so as to achieve a comprehensive solution.  Inevitably this thorny problem is interrelated with other important issues such as energy exploitation and cooperation in the Eastern Mediterranean and beyond.  Moreover, it is to a great extent affected by Turkey’s policy objectives.

The presentation will assess the relevant prospects and dilemmas and will also explore ideas outside the box.
