Dr Chloe Antoniou, Dr Achilleas Pavlou, and Dr Danagra G. Ikossi are the authors of a newly published article in Medical Teacher journal, titled ‘Let’s chat! Integrating ChatGPT in medical student assignments to enhance critical analysis’.

The publication explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT, in medical education, focusing on their potential to promote critical thinking and analytical skills among students. The authors present and discuss a strategy  implemented in the UNIC Medical School graduate-entry MD programme for incorporating AI into student assignments, and provide insights into innovative educational practices.

First author, Dr Chloe Antoniou, stated: ‘Our aim was to explore how AI could be integrated into medical education to enhance students’ analytical skills. We are committed to advancing educational methodologies that prepare students for the evolving challenges in medicine’.
