Annalisa Quattrocchi is an Assistant Professor in Epidemiology and the Associate Head of the Department of Primary Care and Population Health at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Quattrocchi holds a BSc (with Honors) in Biological Sciences from University of Catania (Italy), a MSc (with Honors) in Human Biology (with Honors) from University of Catania (Italy), a PhD in Translational Biomedicine from University of Catania (Italy), and the EPIET (European Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training) diploma from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC, Stckholm, Sweden).
Her research interests include cancer epidemiology, social determinants of health, nutritional epidemiology and early life exposure on health outcomes, with particular focus on the development of chronic diseases in adult life. Furthermore, Dr Quattrocchi is interested in the field of infectious disease epidemiology, from surveillance to risk analysis for infection prevention and control.
