What our Students and Alumni Say

I am fortunate enough to be studying at a state-of-the-art Medical School and one of the few in Europe that uses cadavers as a learning resource. This practice is invaluable to my studies, and which alongside the course’s early clinical exposure and diverse placement opportunities, will assist me in becoming a competent doctor but also a competitive applicant for residency.

Kyle Alexander, Class of 2024, UK

Volunteering through the School’s Mobile Clinic Club offers exciting opportunities. I have been involved in expeditions to rural villages to perform health screening tests. It is not only a great way to practice our clinical skills but it is also a unique way to give back to the community and practice public health initiatives.

Dr Sam Janion,
Class of 2021, UK

As an MD graduate from the University of Nicosia, I was adequately prepared to start my career as doctor in the UK. The programme provided the theoretical knowledge and clinical experience to comfortably transition into a junior doctor position.

Dr Athena Michaelides,
South Africa | Foundation Doctor, Year 2, The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, UK

The University of Nicosia Medical School admits students from all around the world. Studying in such an environment allows me to communicate and work with people from many different cultural backgrounds, this significantly increases human understanding, removes stereotypes and provides greater insight for cultural awareness, vital in our future roles as doctors.

Mats Israelsson, Class of 2025 , Sweden
