Five faculty members from the Medical School – Nicoletta Nicolaou, Cornelia Nicolaou, Persoulla Nicolaou, Paola Nicolaides, and Alexia Papageorgiou – are the authors of a recent article published in BMC Medical Education journal, part of Springer Nature.
The publication, is titled ‘Development of a Leadership and Management Module for the Undergraduate Medical Curriculum’.This article addresses the integration of leadership and management training into medical education, highlighting the necessity for future doctors to possess these crucial skills alongside their clinical expertise.
Through a comprehensive analysis and curriculum development process, the authors designed a module tailored to equip undergraduate medical students with the necessary leadership competencies. Their work underscores the importance of incorporating management skills in medical training to prepare students for diverse roles in healthcare.
