Dr George Portides

George Portides has been a faculty member of the Department of Computer Science since 1997 and 2007 (University of Nicosia). His expertize is in robust statistics, which was the theme of his PhD thesis. His general research interests are in statistical regression modelling within the GLM framework, simulation and statistical computing. George was actively involved in the formation of the new BSc programme in Mathematics offered. He was also the President of the University’s Faculty Union Council between the years 2012-2017.
