Professor Dimitris Drikakis joined the Editorial Board of Nature Scientific Reports
The University of Nicosia congratulates Professor Dimitris Drikakis for joining the Editorial Board of the prestigious journal Nature Scientific Reports.
Nature Scientific Reports is an open access journal publishing original research from across all areas of the natural sciences, medicine, and engineering. As the sixth most-cited journal in the world, Scientific Reports boasts a global influence with widespread attention in policy documents and the media.
This distinction adds another accolade to Professor Drikakis’s academic and research reputation and achievements and confirms the internationalisation and excellence of the University of Nicosia.
About Professor Dimitris Drikakis
Prof. Dimitris Drikakis is a faculty member at the Medical School and Science and Engineering School of the University of Nicosia, the Vice President of Global Partnerships, and the Executive Director of Research and Innovation. Before joining UNIC, he held academic and executive posts as Professor, Executive Dean, and Head of Department at various UK universities for 24 years. He has also held senior educational and research positions in Germany and France. He was the winner of the Innovator of the Year Award by the UK’s Institute of Innovation and Knowledge Exchange for nanotechnology and twice the recipient of the William Penny Fellowship by the UK’s Atomic establishment for his computational science modelling. He has published over 440 papers and two books. He has an h-index 44 (Scopus) & 52 (Google Scholar), classifying him, according to a recent publication by Stanford University, on 100,000 top scientists worldwide (corresponding to 2% internationally) over several years of career.
