The Department of Life Sciences at the University of Nicosia is home to a wide range of Life Science courses: Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Biology and Sports Science. All courses are both theoretical and lab based including practicum in each specialty area. By studying with UNIC, the student benefits from innovative teaching methodology as well as practical and industry experience. All programmes offered are academically and professionally accredited. The aim of the Department is to provide specialised knowledge and skills in the various fields of Life Sciences by cultivating the personality of each student through well-balanced education based on knowledge, affection, and intention as well as fostering practical and applied abilities. Furthermore, the Department trains students in practical problem-solving skills in order to provide them with advanced specialised knowledge.

Με Επιτυχία Ολοκληρώθηκε η Ημερίδα «Διατροφικές Διαταραχές και Διαχείρισή τους στους Κύπριους Εφήβους»
Κεντρικός στόχος της ημερίδας ήταν, μέσα από τη διεξαγωγή βιωματικών εργαστηρίων, η ενημέρωση και ευαισθητοποίηση των μαθητών/τριών σε θέματα υγιεινής διατροφής, η υιοθέτηση υγιεινών διατροφικών συνηθειών καθώς και η πρόληψη διατροφικών διαταραχών με απώτερο σκοπό τη βελτίωση της σωματικής και ψυχικής υγείας.
Department Events
Το πρόγραμμα Διατροφής και Διαιτολογίας και το τμήμα Επιστημών Ζωής του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας, σε συνεργασία με τα προγράμματα Αγωγής Υγείας του Υπουργείου Παιδείας, Αθλητισμού και Νεολαίας, διοργανώνουν βιωματικά εργαστήρια με θέμα: Διατροφικές διαταραχές και διαχείρισή τους στους Κύπριους Εφήβους.
