The Department of Life Sciences is developing a strong reputation for the education and training of highly skilled graduates in the Life Sciences fields. The experienced Faculty of the Department creates a positive environment for learning and enables the students to achieve their goals.

The high-quality clinical, nutrition, sport and scientific learning facilities of the University of Nicosia, combined with the adventurous approach of the Department to innovative tools and simulation, prepare the students for a dynamic clinical practice experience and graduate employment.

The Department of Life Sciences offers degrees in Nutrition/Dietetics, Human Biology and Sports Science in all educational levels ranging from BSc and MSc to PhD. All programmes of study are accredited by the relevant professional and statutory bodies.

Students are taught through a combination of theory and practical skills acquirement. A work placement experience is often included in the programmes, providing students with the highly valued, relevant skills and experiences for their future careers.

Graduates of our programmes are able to actively contribute to the advancements in the areas of social and environmental science, health science, physical activity and well-being, development, resource management, diagnostics, knowledge generation and research.
