The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) Newsletter
Dear Readers,
The academic year 2022–2023 is well underway, and I am pleased to present the fifth edition of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences Newsletter.
Featured work from colleagues across our School includes new and continuing research projects, latest publications (journal articles and books), information about upcoming conferences, as well as conference organization and contributions of faculty.
The 2022–2023 academic year has been a busy one so far, with faculty continuing to work tirelessly and students busy with their various academic activities. The Editorial Committee and I appreciate greatly the contributions by all colleagues who have enriched this edition of the Newsletter with their projects, publications and activities.
As you read this issue, I hope that you, like myself, will be inspired by featured colleagues’ scholarly activities and their continuous pursuit of academic excellence. The School of Humanities and Social Sciences, as a multi-disciplinary School, places great importance in sharing the work conducted within its various Departments as this can support collaborations within and between Departments, and ultimately strengthen cross-disciplinary teaching and research collaborations.
The Editorial Committee and I look forward to receiving submissions for future editions of the SHSS Newsletter. We consider this publication to be a valuable means through which we can showcase and disseminate the rich multidisciplinary work and achievements of our School’s community to the wider academic community.
With best wishes,
Professor Ioulia Papageorgi
SHSS Newsletter Editor
Associate Dean of School
