AILC Improved and Translated Dozens of Study Guides of a UNIC Programme With Human Oversight

Using PowerFlow’s sequential mode to help faculty in making study guides accessible across languages.

At the AI Learning Centre, we've been making strides in supporting academic departments by leveraging our AI capabilities. As part of this, we recently used PowerFlow to improve and then translate several dozen study guides from English to Greek, specifically for a UNIC programme.

This was accomplished using PowerFlow's sequential mode, which allowed us to tackle the improvement and subsequently the translation process in a detailed, section-by-section approach. By breaking down each study guide into manageable components, we ensured that the suggested improvements the AI made were of higher quality and accuracy, after they were checked carefully by the programme's team, we began the translations in the same way to ensure they were accurate and maintained the intended academic nuances.

This is what the beginning of the translation prompt looks like:

We will be translating a study guide made for a degree at the University. I will give you each section separately and you will translate it into academic-level Greek. If you are uncertain about a translation you’ve completed, add a little note at the end of the relevant section so that we can double-check it.

This effort not only highlights the capabilities of PowerFlow but also showcases our commitment to integrating AI into our academic processes to increase productivity, quality, quality of life and more. As well as making our programmes more accessible to Greek-speaking students and supporting multilingual academic delivery. A big thanks to the programme's team for their collaboration in making this project a success.

We're proud of this small but meaningful contribution to enhancing the student experience. If you have any upcoming projects where you are wondering if AI might be useful, feel free to reach out—our track record is one of innovation and assistance.

Remember to always check AI outputs thoroughly, as human oversight lowers AI risk. For more information, contact AILC.
