MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency, Class of 2022
Malaysia
The MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency program provided me with a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the technology, including its potential impact on finance, business, and society. The program equipped me with the necessary skills to navigate within the rapidly evolving landscape of blockchain and digital currency.
My journey in blockchain started back in 2018 when I joined NEM Foundation, straight out of the banking industry, as their VP of strategy. Since then, I have co-founded WIBA (Women in Blockchain Asia), a movement that seeks to encourage women to join and lead the blockchain industry. I was also part of the co-founding team of a blockchain based self-sovereign ID management project called myBID; and a game development start-up called EnGame, which aims to help enterprises gamify their services and products for customer acquisition and loyalty.
My involvement in blockchain space goes beyond my entrepreneurial pursuits. I helped facilitate workshops and directly provided input to the Malaysia National Blockchain Roadmap, a government-led initiative to create a conducive environment for blockchain technology in Malaysia. I also served as the Secretary to the ACCESS Blockchain Association of Malaysia and I am the Vice Chair to the Board of Trustee to Junior Achievement Malaysia, a non-profit organization that educates young people on entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness.
I believe my success in the blockchain industry so far is due to my belief in continuous learning and support from my family. My decision to pursue the MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency at the University of Nicosia was due to my desire to deepen my knowledge and understanding of the technology.

My passion for social enterprise has become evident due to my involvement in EPIC Homes, a non-profit organization that has been building homes for underprivileged communities in Malaysia since 2010. I am the co-founder and advisor to the organization, demonstrating my dedication to giving back to the community.
My journey in the blockchain industry and my contribution to social enterprise have helped me become an inspiring figure in the tech world. Furthermore, my dedication to social enterprise and empowering women highlights my commitment to making the world a better place.
In conclusion, my experience in MSc in Blockchain and Digital Currency was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to gain expertise in this space. I also appreciated the program’s flexibility, which allowed me to balance my studies with work and other commitments.
As the first woman alumni from Malaysia to receive this degree award, I am thankful and humbled that my commitment to learning is well recognized and celebrated.
