University of Nicosia an Official Partner of the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2024 | Digital Democracy

The University of Nicosia is proud to be an Official Partner of this year’s Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit, taking place on 9 October 2024, at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre.

This year’s theme, “Digital Democracy”, will explore digitalization, innovation, and participation. The Summit will delve into topics such as:

  • Participatory Democracy
  • Digitalization of Business and Government
  • Talent Recruitment and Inspiration in Business
  • New Communication Methods in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
  • Convergence of Technology and Medicine to Tackle Previously Incurable Diseases
  • The goal of the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit is to become an established meeting point for prominent figures and young people who come together to discuss and develop the future of humanity at the regional and European levels. An equally important aim is to draw attention to Nicosia as a regional education hub where discussions on the digital agenda take place.

In particular, the Summit aims to:

  • Engage the student/youth community in discussions about the future
  • Discuss matters on the global agenda from a local perspective
  • Establish Nicosia as a creative hub in the world digital agenda
  • Present A-class speakers on topics that have never been discussed before in our region

The conference will feature two stages:

  • Main Stage
  • Alpha Stage (focusing on startups from Cyprus and abroad)

Additionally, the Cyprus Cocktail Festival will see the city join conference delegates in an event expected to attract more than five thousand attendees. The conference is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency, with the Bank of Cyprus and CYTA as main sponsors.
