Equine clinic at Nicosia Race Club receives major upgrade by the UNIC School of Veterinary Medicine

The equine clinic at the Nicosia Race Club is undergoing significant upgrades as part of a collaboration with the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Nicosia (UNIC). Renovation work commenced recently following an agreement signed last October between the School of Veterinary Medicine and the Nicosia Race Club.

Under the terms of the agreement, the School of Veterinary Medicine will manage the clinic, which will also serve as an educational and research centre for the School. This partnership aims to enhance the clinic’s infrastructure and equipment, thereby improving the quality of care provided to horses. The upgrades are expected to benefit the equine industry and contribute to the training of the veterinary students at UNIC.

Despite the ongoing renovation work, the clinic will remain operational. The project is scheduled for completion by Autumn 2024.
