One Welfare is an emerging term. Similar to One Health, One Welfare promotes a holistic approach to well-being, encompassing the interconnected welfare of animals, humans, and the environment. This holistic perspective recognises the interdependence of these three main characters, emphasizing the importance of considering the well-being of all in the pursuit of sustainable practices and harmonious coexistence.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr Sergi Olvera-Maneu is an Assistant Professor of Comparative Anatomy at the School of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Nicosia. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (DVM) and a PhD in Animal Medicine and Health from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research interests include stress physiology, welfare, and reproduction across various animal species.
