Danae Charalambous
Danae Charalambous is an Assistant Professor of Veterinary Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr Charalambous graduated from the School of Veterinary Medicine at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2014. She continued her postgraduate studies at the Companion Animal Clinic, Faculty of Health Sciences, Aristotle University, where she completed her MSc in Small Animal Internal Medicine. Through her clinical experience with neurologic and multi-trauma patients, she developed an interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. From 2017 she has been working with various sports medicine and rehabilitation cases.
Dr Charalambous became a specialist of the European College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2023 after completing her residency at the Veterinary University of Vienna. Her publications and research focused on ground reaction forces and centre of pressure during physiotherapy exercises and heelwork. Her research interests include the biomechanics of small animals and exercise physiology.
